The month could not have started better. On 1st and 2nd we were at “EU NILM Workshop’ 18” in Duisburg (Germany).
"Unsupervised algorithm for disaggregating low-sampling rate electricity consumption of households" was the name of the presentation made by Marina Dorokhova, from EPFL, one of the FEEdBACk’s partners.
The event featured two full days of conference-style material and aimed at bringing together researchers that are working on the topic of energy disaggregation in both academia and industry.
NILM stands for “Non Intrusive Load Monitoring”. This is a process which disaggregates the total energy consumption into the energy readings of an appliance over a period of time, allowing users to see how much power a particular appliance has used during that time.
